Control Status Improvements
With the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) version 2.0 now aligning with NIST 800-171, you only need to select the CMMC Assessment Type to view all associated NIST 800-171 controls:
Additionally, the Control IDs and their Descriptions have all been updated to align with the new CMMC 2.0 model:
Filtering Control IDs is now easier with the introduction of a new filtering tool. NOTE: a bug was discovered that prevents users from seeing the Control ID filtering tool if they are running the August 5th, 2022 LastPass browser extension. Totem is tracking this issue, and more information can be found on our Knowledge Base.
A new Shared Responsibilities field has been added, where you can describe how your organization shares responsibilities of a given control with an External Service Provider (ESP) or other entity:
Other updates to Control Status include:
- Global search feature now much easier to use
- All supplemental guidance elements updated
- All CMMC v1.0 .997, .998 and .999 controls removed
POA&M Improvements
A new Start Date field has been added to the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) page, allowing you to specify when CAP steps begin in addition to their estimated completion date:
Users now also have the ability to view a graphical depiction of their CAPs in the form of a Gantt Chart:
Additionally, users now are able to delete CAPs if they wish:
Other updates to POA&M include:
- Responsible Entity field now preserved and can be selected across multiple CAP steps
Inventory Improvements
Users can now expect a much smoother interface within the CUI Inventory, including less scrolling and the information lifecycle characterization steps built in:
A Hardware Assets feature has now been added, allowing users to maintain their hardware inventory within Totem™:
Other Improvements
